Friday- After my last blog we went and had our class for the last part of the day after dinner
and it was a great class, we just took the time to find our favorite scripture about our savior
Jesus Christ. The spirit was so strong that if everyone could of felt this they would surely be
baptized.
Saturday- Very full day of awesome activities, as we all moaned and groaned at the fact that they
would be keeping us away from the Stadium of Fire tonight and having some lame devotional it ended up being the complete opposite, we all sang (3000 missionaries) our country songs and we had a special preformance of all the countries flags coming down and bagpipes playing "praise to the man" it was AWESOME!!!! also on the big screen they showed all the missions of the church and of course when Dallas Texas hit the screen we all jumped up and screamed!!!! We got to after watch the fire works till about midnight we were out just talking about how last year elder witbeck saw some girls hair catch on fire last year and how awesome it was watching them from the 5th floor of our building, perfect and awesome. But the next day was fast sunday and we only got 6 hours of sleep....uh oh
Sunday-LONG DAY... We have a 2 hour devotional every fast sunday and since we had no energy from fasting and didnt sleep at all last night.. well haha we didnt really catch what ANYONE said. But sacrament was great! i got up and bore my testimony in all Espanol so that was a great expirience i think, tonight we had our usual firesight and we thought for sure it would be lame cause all the general authorities are on vacation, but it was fantastic, we heard from a hit artist Jenny Oaks Baker, Elder Oaks daughter and she is phenomanol at the Violin! her 3 daughters played for us as well! it was
great a 9 year old playing the violin, a 8 year old playing the piano, and a 7 year old 7 year old!!!! playing the chello, they had so much talent we all got their autographs afterwards, haha such cute little girls.
Monday- HAPPY 4TH!!! we didnt do anything for the 4th though, we begin our native game again for the last time so thats exciting id say, even though we are speaking spanish all the time anyway haha. I really got into my study journal today, i wish you could see it, amazing!! thanks for who ever snuck that into my suitcase! ;) its so helpful!! we also committed one of our investigators to baptism today!! also i have been dying here cause i havent got cards forever!!!!! :(
Tuesday- Ah what an awesome day, my last day playng in the MTC bball, what a way to leave with a bang!! I played with some different people today, the people that think they are so good till the first time i touch the ball. So this elder, tells another guy (who has seen me play) "i can take him, its all good" You all know me, i hate it when kids are like that, the kid who knows me said "uh... you sure?" very first play i back cut him and get the ball and pull the ball behind my head and slam it with both hands leaving bruises on my forearms... Immediatly the questions came
"WHERE did you play" not "did you play?" WHERE, others asked if i played for BYU and other schools, i replied with the same thing i always tell these kids, i was cut my senior year, 100 percent of these people didnt believe me, asked what was wrong with my coach, and asked how is that possible... My story of being stabbed in my basketball soul continues to spread daily. Its a part of me, i love sharing it, i love the talent that i have been given, being able to count how many dunks i had that day by lines like a ruler up my forarm. I left my best in that gym for the last time. We had a devotional tonight as well and i bore such a good testimony and i felt really good, my companion loved it he got up after me as emotional as i have ever seen him, we also in our TRC taught a real investigator, THE REAL DEAL it was great, so excited to get out there.
Wednesday- Hosting again, lots of criers haha i dont know why but we all love seeing it, gives us a piece of memory from when we were in their spot, today also marks DAY 50!!!! CAN YOU BELIVE IT!!!!!! insane, well nothing really happened today and yesterday, same old same old tired, working hard and having fun, my flight plans come soon and i will be out of here in 10 days so i hope everyone knows that, get your letters swithched over to the Texas address! cause its that time!!! I continue to grow every day and my spanish is getting better and will shoot up once i get thrown into an all spanish world,i love this work and i love my savior, if only you could all feel the spiritual gifts that i feel on a daily basis! Its truely amazing and i wouldnt trade it for 6 rings for lebron, or a job with bungie, or the skills of Derrick Rose. Because this is the best gift ANYONE CAN HAVE, i love you all and again thank you for your letters, your support and love, i gotta go do laundry now, out of time love you all!!! Elder Aaron Jackson
